It depends on the work your team needs to complete and the technology environment your organisation already uses. 

If your organisation works mainly in Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot may be the better fit for tasks that depend heavily on Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and information already held within the Microsoft 365 environment.

ChatGPT may be better suited to other types of work, particularly where people need to work across different sources of information, develop work through several steps, research, analyse, plan or use Projects and Custom GPTs.

For some organisations, the right answer is not one or the other. Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT can be used alongside each other for different types of work.

People often start using ChatGPT themselves without learning a clear way to work with it. They may rely on simple questions, accept the first result or use ChatGPT for only a small part of the work it could support.

Yes, within reason. 

Before delivery, we understand how experienced participants are and how they are currently using ChatGPT. We use this to set the starting point, pace and level of support.

If the difference between participants is very wide, separate groups may provide a better learning experience.

That is manageable, but the plan people use affects what they can do during the workshop. 

Free accounts provide access to many ChatGPT capabilities, including file uploads and the ability to use GPTs, but usage limits are lower than on paid plans. Creating or editing Custom GPTs requires a paid plan.  

Business and Enterprise plans provide organisational workspaces, additional administration and security controls, and higher-usage capabilities for workplace use.  

Before delivery, we establish what access participants have and plan the exercises around the tools available to them. Training can still be delivered with Free accounts, but some practical exercises may need to be adapted.

For practical workshops, yes. 

Participants learn by using ChatGPT themselves, so access allows them to complete the exercises during the session.

The level of access needed depends on the workshop. Some exercises involving files, Projects or Custom GPTs may require suitable paid access or need to be adapted for participants using the Free plan. Free users have lower limits for features such as file uploads, while creating Custom GPTs requires a paid subscription.
